According to her death certificate and her burial authorisation, Minnie's cause of death was carcinoma hepatic (liver cancer) and asthenia (loss of strength).  On Minnie's Death Certificate, her occupation was listed as wife of Alexander Pelican, a journeyman tailor.  Her son, H. Pelican (presumably, Harry), was the informant.

The Hebrew lettering on Minnie's headstone  translates as follows:

"Here lies Mrs. Mindel, daughter of Hayim, wife of Mr. Yekutiel, son of Yaacov, died on the eve of Shabbat [Friday night], the 23rd day of Tamuz 5657.  May her soul be bound up in the bonds of everlasting life."
