According to the 1900, 1910, 1920 and 1930 censuses and his death certificate, Edward was a tailor, who eventually owned his own shop.

Bob Hirsch recalls that, in his younger years, Edward ran a tailor shop on Dyckman Street in Manhattan.3,1,2,17,8,6
