  • Jennie's occupation is shown in the 1900 Cenus as house girl.

    According to the 1920 census, both Jennie and her parents were born in Austria and spoke German.  The 1930 Census listed their native tongue as "Jewish."

    According to Karyn Michaels, Jennie painted old master style and had been offered a scholarship at the Sorbonne in Paris.  The family, however, had already left Europe and had no intention of returning.7,4
