  • Morris's occupation was listed in his naturalization papers as a cloak maker and in the 1910 Census as a manufacturer of suits.

    According to the 1920 Census, Morris' address was 940 Simpson Street, Bronx, New York.  Both he and his parents were born in Austria and spoke German.  His occupation was listed as salesman.

    In the 1930 Census,  Morris' address was listed as 1036 East 8th Street.  He was shown as owning his own house, with a value of $2,000.  His occupation was listed as a manufacturer of coats.

    His death notice listed his occupation as coowner of Federal Associates, merchandise brokers.

    According to Karyn Micheals, Morris had a successful business and made very good money.  Morris and his family had servants - at least cleaning girl and chauffeur -  until 1929.  He was the first manufacturer to make coats and suits in half sizes.13,14,15,5,3
